Part of Rhode Island’s charm is that the state has packed quite a number of top-rated schools into it’s small geographical area. Three public schools exist in the state and are governed by The Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education. The biggest of the three public schools is the University of Rhode Island. Also residing in Rhode Island is quite a collection of private schools including Brown University, which is part of the prestigious Ivy League. Most of Rhode Island’s private and public colleges offer their coursework via the internet. By featuring the online programs, the schools allow for students to fit their education in their already busy lives.
